University of Dayton undergraduates who manage $5.6 million for the Dayton Foundation donated a portion of their investment fee to local charities.
The students directed $16,250 to the Artemis Center, Catholic Social Services of Miami Valley, The Conscious Connect Community Development Corp, the Miami Valley Nonprofit Collaborative and the Ronald McDonald House Southwest Ohio. They have donated $50,000 during the last three years.
The partnership between the Davis Center, the largest student-run investment fund in the country, and the Dayton Foundation earned national recognition in 2024.
"Being able to partner with the Dayton Foundation is truly a valuable experience for Davis Center students,” said senior Will Otterbein, senior manager for the Davis Center. “Learning more about asset allocation while playing a part in helping our community makes this work especially fulfilling.”
