The interdisciplinary minor in film studies provides you with an opportunity to explore one of the most popular and influential media from the 20th century to the present. You'll study the history, theory and aesthetics of film and consider film from literary, philosophic, religious and creative perspectives. About the Film Studies Minor

The film studies minor prepares students for careers in academics, media production, media-related fields or other jobs in the humanities. In a larger sense, it also provides students the skills and training to better understand the larger media landscape and its relationship to ourselves as consumers and citizens.

Moreover, film studies is a doorway into engaging with diverse frames of reference, fresh narratives and discovering a broader appreciation of the human experience through learning opportunities such as study abroad trips and community engagement options.
