Welcome Aboard, Future Flyer

You're about to embark on an incredible journey.

As a top-tier Catholic and Marianist university, our holistic approach to education means you'll be supported to reach your fullest potential by a Flight Crew — a community of faculty, staff, peers and alumni — here to help you navigate the path to a successful career and a purposeful life.

Your Next Steps

Step 1: Review Your Acceptance Letter

Your acceptance letter is in the mail, and it can also be viewed in your Admission Account. Be sure to read your letter carefully, as it includes details about your merit scholarship award and important information about your program admission.

Be sure to check your Admission Account regularly for important updates from UD.

Step 2: Visit Campus

As a future Flyer, you have the opportunity to attend a variety of events designed just for admitted students.

Campus Visits

Come tour our beautiful campus! While you're here, customize your visit by scheduling time with your academic department, Career Services, the Office of Learning Resources, the Honors Program or athletic coaches. You can also schedule a one-on-one meeting with an admission counselor to discuss financial aid or other admission questions. Schedule a visit today.

Admitted Student Days

Join us on campus March 8 or 29 for our biggest and best admission events of the year! We'll celebrate your admission to UD, and you'll connect with faculty, staff and current students as you explore your next steps, academic programs, financial aid, campus resources and more.

Academic Events

Several academic departments will host virtual and in-person admitted student opportunities during the spring semester. Watch your email and Admission Account for registration details.

Step 3: File the FAFSA and Review Your Financial Aid Offer

The 2026-27 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available now. We encourage you to file the FAFSA as soon as possible, if you haven’t already.

Filing the FAFSA is your key to unlocking the many financial assistance options that you may be eligible for, including federal, state and University-funded:

  • Loans
  • Grants (which don't have to be repaid)
  • Work-study programs

Students who file the FAFSA will be prioritized as we begin sending transparent financial aid offers in December - January. You'll receive an email when your financial aid offer is available in your Admission Account, and a printed packet will be sent in the mail.

After you receive your offer, we encourage you to schedule a 1:1 virtual appointment with our team to discuss your options and plan for success.

Step 4: Make Connections

Meet your new Flyer family on MeetYourClass.

Get to know other future Flyers even before you arrive on campus. Create your profile on MeetYourClass and, with just one click, introduce yourself to other admitted students across your favorite social platforms. You can connect with future classmates, find other students with similar interests and start building friendships.

Step 5: Confirm Enrollment

Secure your place at the University of Dayton. The process is simple and secure:

  • Log in to your Admission Account and select Confirm Enrollment on your application.
  • Follow the instructions to pay your $400 enrollment deposit, if applicable.
