Build Your Community

Connect With Other Flyers

We're partnering with MeetYourClass to help you connect with other students admitted to UD. Search for roommates, find students with common interests and start building connections.

Steps After Admission

Here's what you can expect after admission:

Review Your Acceptance Letter

Congratulations again! In the excitement of learning you’re admitted to UD, many students overlook the details in their acceptance letter. Your letter will include your merit scholarship award, and may also include additional details related to your admission decision, including if you’ve been admitted to a different major or if you’ve been admitted to the Honors or FIRST programs.

A digital version of your acceptance letter is available in your Admission Account.

File the FAFSA

By filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), you can be considered for need-based financial aid, including grants (which don't have to be repaid), federal loans and work-study options.

We encourage all students to file the FAFSA, even if you think you won't qualify for federal aid, because many University-funded awards require a FAFSA for eligibility. The 2026-27 FAFSA opens Oct. 1, 2025.

Review Financial Aid Offer

After we receive your FAFSA, UD will prepare your transparent financial aid offer, which will provide a four-year overview of your total educational investment.

You'll receive an email when your offer is available in your Admission Account, and the printed offer will follow in the mail. We plan to begin sending financial aid offers in December and January.

Confirm Enrollment

When you're ready to confirm enrollment, simply:

  • Log in to your Admission Account.
  • Click 'Confirm Enrollment' on your application. (Note: If you haven't yet viewed your decision letter online, you need to do that first. Then this option will appear.)
  • Pay the $400 nonrefundable deposit, if applicable.

Students who have confirmed their enrollment will receive access to their Porches account beginning in February. Named after the beloved porches in our student neighborhood, Porches is the digital home for your personalized next steps and opportunities.

You can also view our web page that includes information for enrolled students.
