What the heck is a WiBit? We’re not really sure, but it definitely looks fun. In February — AKA, the dead of winter here in Ohio — Campus Recreation brought to campus the WiBit, an inflatable water obstacle course that students are nuts about.
Mark Hoying ’04, director of campus recreation, was looking for a way to attract more people to the pool and help UD students feel comfortable around the water.

“Bringing people together in exercise and laughing while they’re doing — it is like a multiplier,” he said. “We’re just so confident that it’s having a positive impact on their experience here at UD.”
Several student organizations, including UD’s softball team and Student Government Association, have used the WiBit as a bonding activity. And who knows, maybe UD will have a few qualifiers for the next season of Wipeout.
