Nano-Fab Lab
UD's Nano-Fab Lab, housed inside a Class 100 cleanroom (ISO 5), has all the capabilities to go from raw substrates to completely packaged devices. Capabilities include: advanced thin film deposition, metrology, photolithography, and chemical and plasma etching.
Live Video System
Our remote video system links any lab on campus to the classroom. The system, on a cleanroom-compatible mobile cart, is portable from one lab to another with the intent to leverage existing research labs, which may be located in different buildings.
The lab codec communicates with the classroom codec via the Internet or UD's Intranet. The cart also has a large LCD monitor to allow the lab operator to see and interact with the classroom.
Two high-definition cameras can be manipulated by the lab operator and the classroom instructor. Two-way video and audio includes multiple wireless microphones at student desks, which allows students and the lab instructor to interact in real time.
