Why I Love UD

I'm a proud two-time graduate of the University of Dayton, earning my bachelor's in 2023 and my master's in 2025. At UD, I discovered that the college journey encompasses more than just academics. It's about creating unforgettable memories, building lifelong friendships, and discovering your true self while pursuing your vocation. At UD, you will find amazing mentors, make lifelong friends, and get involved in many ways to help you grow and make the UD experience your own. As a Flyer, you will hear the word “community” everywhere you go—our perfect campus size, 270+ student organizations, and vibrant student neighborhood make it easy to meet new people and run into familiar faces everywhere. UD encourages you to lead with purpose, learn with heart, and live in community. UD changed my life, and I’d love to help it change yours, too.

Biography

B.S. in Communication Management, minor in Psychology, University of Dayton
M.A. in Communication, certificates in Public Relations and Health Communication, University of Dayton

As the daughter of two UD alumni from the Class of 1991 and part of a military family, I moved frequently—nine times across seven different schools. With so much change, I rarely felt rooted—until I found UD. It became the first place I truly chose to call home. As a student, I embraced the opportunity to connect with others and serve in various leadership roles across campus, from Student Government and Zeta Tau Alpha to becoming a President’s Emissary and a member of the Powerlifting Club. Through these diverse roles, I honed my leadership skills and discovered a profound sense of community, finding my place and my people at UD. During grad school, I served as the graduate assistant in the Office of Military and Veteran Programs and Services, where I discovered my passion for helping students thrive on our campus and pursue their vocations.

Now, as an Assistant Director of Recruitment and Admission, I bring together all aspects of my UD experience—undergraduate, graduate, and professional—to help others find their home at UD, just like I did. I’m passionate about helping students confidently launch into their next chapter—academically, personally, and spiritually. College is more than classes; it’s about making memories, forming lifelong friendships, and discovering who you are. I have deep love and gratitude for UD and the meaningful role it has played in my family’s story.

When I’m not in the office, you’ll find me lifting at the gym, enjoying many cups of coffee, cheering on my Steelers, spending time with loved ones, and serving as the Class of 2023 representative on the Day10 Alumni Association—sharing my family’s UD story and Flyer pride with prospective students, current Flyers, and alumni across generations.
