When I told my family about my human rights fellowship, their puzzled reactions highlighted a widespread misunderstanding: human trafficking isn't just a distant issue but a pervasive threat even in our own backyard. This realization fueled my commitment to raise awareness and combat misconceptions through my internship with Abolition Ohio.
