Allow Us to Introduce Ourselves

At the University of Dayton, we have an incredible story to tell.

And it's important that when we speak about ourselves, we speak with one voice. We need to speak in a way that makes others understand just what makes UD so special and compelling to us. With that, we can continue to create momentum for the University and give expression to our collective aspirations as a community.

The Division of University Marketing and Communications exists to protect, enhance and advance the University's national and international reputation.

Our Brand

A successful brand goes beyond universal recognition. When people encounter the University, we want them to know who we are and what we stand for.

To ensure we are presenting the University in a consistent, cohesive manner, all marketing and communications must follow the University Marketing and Communications Policy. Adherence to these guidelines helps accurately capture the University's spirit, communicates our vision and values, and inspires our audiences to engage with us.

Brand Guidelines

University faculty and staff can obtain the complete brand guidelines in Porches.

Vendors, contractors and freelancers working on official marketing and communications should contact brand@udayton.edu for branding details.

Logo Guidelines and Requests

The University carefully manages the way in which we allow our name and trademarks to be used. All proposed uses of University of Dayton trademarks on products must receive prior written approval, which will be given at UD's sole discretion.

For more information, or to request usage of the logo, view the logo guidelines.

Social Media Community Standards

The University of Dayton encourages discourse and intellectual inquiry on its social channels. With that, members in the social community are expected to act in accordance with a set of community standards.

Non-News Filming and Photography on Campus

Anyone who would like to use the University for external photography or video projects for commercial or other non-news purposes must coordinate their plans with the Office of News and Communications. Learn more about requesting to take photos/videos on campus.
