Why did you decide to earn a J.D.?

I pursued a degree that would enhance my critical thinking skills, enabling me to help clients navigate complex legal issues and arrive at tailored solutions.

What was your experience like at UDSL?

I had a very positive experience at UDSL. The faculty and staff were incredibly supportive, always willing to provide guidance and encouragement. I also formed strong relationships with my classmates, which created a collaborative and motivating environment. Throughout my time there, I was given numerous opportunities to grow — both academically and professionally — which really helped me build confidence in my abilities. The school's focus on practical skills and bar exam preparation also gave me a solid foundation as I transitioned into my legal career.

How has the J.D. helped with your career and what are you doing now?

I practice in the area of insurance coverage and regulation. Earning my J.D. helped me develop the legal and analytical skills essential to practicing as an attorney. It trained me to identify potential issues clients may face and to craft solutions that are tailored to their specific business needs.

What advice would you give a future lawyer?

Take advantage of as many hands-on opportunities as possible before graduating from law school. Whether it's clinics, internships, moot court, or volunteer work, practical experience is invaluable in building your skills and confidence as a future attorney.
