Sam Duncan realized his passion was aerospace engineering when he watched SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy rocket launch in 2018.  Since then, the senior mechanical engineering student who is a member of the men’s cross country team has found a way to pursue the science behind air travel as he has accepted a full-time role with UDRI while working toward a master’s in engineering.

Alongside her, John Szabo's impactful research focuses on creating equitable internship opportunities for STEM students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), addressing the critical need for support in education and employment. Both Warthman and Szabo embody the University's commitment to fostering an environment where every individual can thrive, celebrating diversity and advocating for inclusion. Their combined efforts highlight the importance of embracing authenticity and breaking down barriers, shaping a more inclusive future for the University of Dayton and beyond. Out of a competitive pool of 41 universities and 123 talented contestants, the University of Dayton Sales Team dazzled with a remarkable 4th place finish. Their stellar achievement was further amplified as all three team members soared into the prestigious Semifinals, placing them in the coveted ranks of just four elite schools to accomplish the same feat.
