Contact Your Advisor

It is critical that you connect with your advisor at the start of your academic career — and throughout your studies. In many cases, your advisor or program director will provide guidance regarding course registration, research opportunities and requirements, program requirements, etc.

If you are unsure who your advisor is, contact UDGradSchool@udayton.edu.

Secure Funding and Pay Your Tuition

Once you have been admitted to your program, you can explore financial aid options for graduate students.

U.S. citizens and permanent residents are eligible to apply for government-sponsored loans. Applicants should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year to be considered for federal loan programs.

There are a limited number of University scholarships and grants open to graduate students. Contact your program directly regarding research, teaching and other graduate assistantships opportunities.

Once starting at UD you are also eligible for student employment opportunities on campus.

Secure Parking

Parking at UD is first-come, first-served for graduate and undergraduate students. Getting on waitlists for lots and parking near academic or residential spaces is important.

All vehicles parked on University property must have a permit. You can manage your parking account, purchase a parking permit, pay or appeal a citation on the Parking Services site.

Obtain FlyerCard

The FlyerCard is UD's official photo identification card. It is used to enter buildings, use your meal plan, access Flyer Express, and more.

We are a mobile-first campus, so your FlyerCard is digital. You simply need to upload a photo to your MyCard Account and then install the Get Mobile app from the Google Play Store or Apple Store.

Visit Porches

Porches is the University's intranet; it is the main communication source for all students, faculty and staff.

Situated on the banks of the Great Miami River, the city of Dayton offers all the amenities of a larger city while retaining its Midwestern warmth.

The University offers graduate housing, or you can pursue independent lodging options in the greater city.

Dayton RTA offers The Flyer, a free shuttle connecting campus with popular downtown destinations.
