University of Dayton School of Law seminar pulls back the curtain on AI

Keller Hall, home of the UD School of Law

The University of Dayton School of Law's 35th Program in Law and Technology seminar Nov. 13 will bring together students, practitioners and judges, and provide an expert's perspective on how AI works and what that means for the legal profession.

Jason Mars, an associate professor of computer science and engineering at the University of Michigan, will deliver the keynote address "Behind the Curtain: How AI Really Works." Mars is a founder and the CEO of Clinc, an AI startup that developed the world’s most advanced conversational AI.

Additional sessions will examine AI and copyright law, data privacy regulation in Europe, patent practice, and the liability and ethical questions AI raises for practicing attorneys.
