University of Dayton Osher Lifelong Learning Institute to host free arts open house

Osher Lifelong Learning Institute class

The University of Dayton Osher Lifelong Learning Institute will host a free arts open house from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, at Daniel J. Curran Place (1770 S. Patterson Blvd., Dayton, Ohio). Light refreshments will be served.

The event will showcase the artistic creativity, talents and interests of the institute's participants, including visual arts, quilting, crafts, writing and music; and offer guests opportunities to learn more about lifelong learning at the University of Dayton.

The institute serves adults "50 and better" through seminars, discussions and learning experiences led by volunteers, educators and community experts. Seminars are designed for enjoyment and intellectual exploration. There are no prerequisites, tests or grades. Participants are simply encouraged to come ready to learn and join the conversation while exploring new subjects, building relationships and staying engaged in the community.
