Poets & Quants listed Lissa Cupp, senior lecturer of marketing, among its "2025 Best Undergraduate Business Professors."
She was selected from more than 1,000 nominations.
Cupp is known for a practical approach to teaching. Students create social plans for local nonprofits, work through digital marketing exercises, and hear directly from guests she brings in from companies such as Google, Nike, Marvel and the Dallas Cowboys.
She helped UD's Marketing Club reach second place at the 2024 National Collegiate Digital Marketing Championship. Students also tap her network when looking for internships and first jobs.
“Lissa brings together deep professional expertise and a genuine commitment to helping students grow,” said Trevor Collier, dean of the School of Business Administration. “She creates experiences that resonate long after the semester ends — whether through her thoughtful guidance or the high-profile executives and industry leaders she brings into the classroom. Students feel supported, challenged, and inspired by the real-world learning she provides.”
Before joining UD, Cupp worked as a senior vice president at Angie’s List and chief marketing officer for Berkshire Hathaway’s media group. She continues to consult with organizations including EverScholar, Meta and the Google News Initiative.
