IN THE LAST ISSUE

In the summer issue, we shared a photo of alumni cruising through the pages of the 1984 Daytonian. Lori Pinter ’84 wrote in from her home in New Jersey, identifying herself — sitting on the car roof, clapping — as well as Andrea “Onnie” Shafer Pucel ’84 (green polo) and, behind her, Joan Strok Wahler ’84, who is still Pinter’s best friend. Mike Felton ’84 (striped shirt) emailed us when he saw himself sitting atop the car and said, “I nearly fell out of my chair!” Christine O’Connor ’84 also recognized several Flyers, including John Meier ’84 riding on the car’s hood in a black taffeta gown. She said, “We called him ‘Rog’ because he looked like (musician) Roger Daltrey.”
