1 – Barry Hintz ’73 and his wife, Carol, have gone on many travel adventures during their retirement, including six continents. The couple made sure to pack UD Magazine for their recent visit to the Great Pyramids of Giza.
2 – Alicia Saunders Rinkus and John Rinkus, both from the Class of 1975, visited Mitad del Mundo, the monument marking 0 degrees latitude in Quito, Ecuador, in December.
3 – Flyers Johanna Bizub ’79, Kathryn Hvizdos Longo ’80, Monique Rullo Marks ’81 and Judy Mager Farley ’80 met in Cleveland to visit the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and reminisce with UD Magazine.
4 – Shari L. McDaniel ’97 is a flight attendant for a private airline and said she brings UD Magazine along on all of her adventures, including her recent visit to Muscat, Oman.
5 – Tim Monnier ’78 and his wife, Sheryl, recently spent three weeks traveling across China, and visited the Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet, the historic winter palace of the Dalai Lama.
6 – John Engel ’68 and his wife of 53 years, Ginny, caught a few rays at their favorite spot in White Bay on the island of Jost Van Dyke in the British Virgin Islands.
7 – Hannah Viertel and Caroline Santella, former roommates from the Class of 2013, road-tripped across New Zealand on their annual international adventure together. They brought along their favorite issue of UD Magazine to Lake Hawea on the South Island of New Zealand.
8 – Mike Oths ’79 recently traveled to Antarctica with UD Magazine. He said, “I could have been holding the magazine while taking a polar plunge, but me being shirtless might hurt your readership!”
