Capricious weather

Larry Burgess February 16, 2023

The dictionary defines the word capricious as an adjective, used to describe something which is given to sudden and unaccountable changes of mood or behavior. In other words, variable, volatile and fickle — all words which can easily be used to describe recent weather conditions here in Dayton. Despite all the best science used by forecasters, the weather remains predictably unpredictable. One day it’s 70 degrees and sunny, and the next day it’s 46 degrees, wet and dreary. Zoology tells us there are some species which are very good at withstanding extreme changes in the weather, but we’re not quite sure if college students are among them.
