UD History Collections
The University of Dayton has over 175 years of history. University Archives chronicles and preserves physical and digital materials that tell the story of UD from its humble beginnings to a top-tier Catholic and Marianist institution of higher learning. Collections include materials such as:
- Records of University departments and student organizations
- Alumni and faculty papers
- Student scholarly and creative works
- University publications and websites
- Student-produced media
- Memorabilia, photographs and audiovisual recordings
While these materials are archived for preserving history, they are also used by students, researchers, alumni, campus departments, media outlets and more. Walk-in visitors are welcome from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, but appointments are highly encouraged.
