In the Business of Building Futures

Planning is underway to construct a four-story, state-of-the-art facility for the School of Business Administration.

The new academic building will serve as a new home for business education at UD, bringing together signature centers, high-quality academic space and student-focused amenities designed to prepare future business leaders. It will double the amount of space dedicated to experiential learning, classrooms and collaboration spaces, and triple the amount of open study areas.

Construction of the new building is supported by an historic $15 million gift from an anonymous donor, as well as gifts — from $1 million to $10 million each — from 10 additional donors.

The new building will house and allow for expansion of nationally renowned programs and centers, including the Davis Center for Portfolio Management, Flyer Enterprises and Flyer Consulting corporate headquarters; a laboratory for professional selling; and a combined office suite for student services, including the John D. Mittelstaedt Center for Academic Advising and Business Student Success; and the graduate business programs office.

In addition to academic and program space, the facility will include an event space, student-run coffee shop, conference and meeting rooms, a student lounge and an employee lounge.

The building will be adjacent to Kettering Labs, supporting collaborating between the School of Business Administration and School of Engineering.

With this new facility, we will dramatically expand our capacity to contribute to the University’s experiential learning guarantee, create new opportunities for professional development and deepen our partnerships with the business community, delivering a student experience that is second to none.
