Yellow Ribbon Eligibility

The University of Dayton is proud to be a Yellow Ribbon Program participant.

Undergraduate students receiving Post 9/11 GI Bill® and Yellow Ribbon have their cost of tuition completely covered in fall and spring. While graduate programs vary, most qualified graduate students will experience the same.

Criteria

You may be eligible if you are one of the following:

  • A veteran eligible for Chapter 33 Post 9/11 benefits at the 100% level (served at least 36 months during a qualifying period, or less than 36 months but discharged due to a combat injury and awarded a Purple Heart).
  • A dependent eligible for the VA's Fry Scholarship (the veteran was killed in active service or as a result of a service connected disability while serving in the selected reserve).
  • A dependent eligible for Transfer of Entitlement under the Chapter 33 Post 9/11 benefit at the 100% level (the veteran served at least six years on active duty and committed to four more years in order to transfer the benefit).
