Campus Ministry: Residence Life Ministry
Personal History
My name is Sabina (she/her/ella) and I work on the Faith Formation and Spiritual Accompaniment team in Campus Ministry. Our team focuses on going out to where students are and ministering with them right in the middle of their busy, ordinary, exciting, stressful everyday lives.
I work with second-year students in VWK and with LGBTQ+ Ministry, but I hope to share the love of Christ with everyone I encounter. It is a great joy to listen to the faith stories of students, make space for difficult questions to be asked, provide opportunities for spiritual growth, and see each person as beloved by God.
My day is filled with thoughtful conversations, prayerful moments, catching up over a cup of coffee, and lots of laughs with our students. I truly love being a Campus Minister and consider it an absolute joy and privilege to do LGBTQ+ Ministry at our Catholic and Marianist institution. After graduating from Midwestern State University, I did a year of service with the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia, and have been working for the Church in some capacity ever since.
“Be patient toward all that is unresolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.” - Letters to a Young Poet by Rainer Maria Rilke
