James Sanchez is the Research and Writing Attorney for the Federal Public Defender, Southern District of Ohio, in the Dayton Office.
Born and raised in New Jersey, he attended Seton Hall University where he graduated with a major in History and a minor in English. At Seton Hall, James was selected for the History Honors Program and received the History Citation Award at graduation, which is given to the student with the highest GPA among history majors.
James attended law school at St. Thomas University School of Law, where he was the Managing Editor of the Intercultural Human Rights Law Review and graduated third in his class. Upon passing the New Jersey Bar Exam, he clerked for New Jersey Superior Court Judge Thomas R. Vena and later worked in private practice in New Jersey.
