Profile

Ms. Nigliazzo, a 1995 cum laude graduate of J. Reuben Clark Law School, has practiced law for over 25 years. Ms. Nigliazzo started her career in the business law area, including intellectual property. Ms. Nigliazzo’s passion for education led her to become an adjunct professor of law early in her career. For over twenty years, Ms. Nigliazzo has shared her knowledge of the courtroom and law at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Course material taught by Ms. Nigliazzo include property law, constitutional law, criminal law, intellectual property law, juvenile law, ethics, and more. Further, as an avid learner herself, Ms. Nigliazzo is one of relatively few attorneys who has passed the bar exam in three different states – Utah, Missouri and Texas – on the first attempt. Ms. Nigliazzo’s familiarity with the bar exam and bar exam testing techniques make her uniquely qualified to help law students and lawyers practicing in foreign jurisdictions prepare for the bar exam. As an adjunct professor for the University of Dayton School of Law, Ms. Nigliazzo enjoys working with domestic and foreign attorneys seeking to expand their knowledge of law and potentially preparing for bar exam testing.

By way of service, upon the adoption of her fourth child, Ms. Nigliazzo recognized the need for traumatized children to have excellent legal representation in court. As a result, while still teaching at the university and law school level, Ms. Nigliazzo currently focuses her practice on serving as an Attorney Ad Litem for foster children in Laredo, Texas. Further, Ms. Nigliazzo has become a well-known advocate for traumatized children and their families. She has spoken in numerous national conferences highlighting the needs of children suffering complex trauma and helping families advocate for their needs. In addition, Ms. Nigliazzo served on the board of directors for a national trauma organization where she helped plan and execute a national conference related to helping children heal from trauma. Currently, Ms. Nigliazzo serves as the Court Advocacy Director for the Attachment Trauma Network and is working on collaboration in the legal area for a system of trauma focused courts.
