Becky McClennen is a 2011 graduate of the two-year program at the University of Dayton School of Law. She is an attorney licensed in Ohio and West Virginia and is admitted to the Supreme Court of the United States, U.S. District Court Southern District of West Virginia, and the U.S. District Court Southern District of Ohio.
A non-traditional student, her career revolved around finance and economic development in both the public and private sectors, especially SBA and government programs, prior to law school. Upon graduation, she accepted a position to work in a hometown, tri-state firm concentrating on bankruptcy, domestic relations, and business law. Her husband’s health crisis made the decision to return to the financial world with the benefits it offered an easy one, and she remains in that field working for a large regional financial institution. (Her husband has been restored to excellent health.)
Mrs. McClennen worked as an adjunct professor at Ohio University Southern where she taught Political Science. For the last several years, she has worked with UDSL Road to Bar Passage program grading practice bar exam essays, mentoring students, and conducting a Secured Transactions workshop. She has served as an Academic Success Coach since 2019. A long-time member of the UDSL Alumni Board of Directors, Mrs. McClennen is again Chair of the Reunion Weekend Committee and is the President of the Board.
A native of Ironton, Ohio, Mrs. McClennen was actively involved her family’s businesses. She and her husband share their home with two very spoiled puppies.
