Rob Lorton is currently a Procurement Analyst and Contract Data Specialist in the Contracting Directorate of Air Force Materiel Command Headquarters at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. In this role, Mr. Lorton specializes in the extraction, compilation, analysis, visualization and e-utilization of contract data enabling data driven business decisions across the Department of the Air Force. He has over 28 years of Air Force and Department of Defense procurement experience as a Contracts Manager, Negotiator, Administrative and Procurement Contracting Officer, Grants & Agreements Officer, Team Leader, Supervisor, and DCMA Commander. He has depth and breadth of contracting experience in various environments including Operational, Services, Specialized, Systems, and Research & Development Contracting at the Squadron, Depot, Program Office, Unified Command Headquarters, Defense Contract Management Agency, and the Air Force Research Laboratory. Rob is also the host of The Contracting Experience podcast which connects government contracting professionals to the world around them through conversations with acquisition influencers, insights into evolving hot topics, and by sharing lessons learned from the field.
