Profile

Russell works as an Assistant Attorney for the City of Dayton, Ohio. He focuses his practice on economic development, public tax incentives, and procurement. His experience includes handling professional service agreements, budgetary compliance issues, drafting legislation, and real estate transfers.

He attended Xavier University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting in 2014 before continuing his education at the University of Dayton School of Law, where he received his J.D. in 2017. During this time, Russell was the Managing Editor of the University of Dayton Law Review and served as the Chief Justice of the Phi Alpha Delta fraternity. 

Upon graduation, Russell worked for Sebaly Shillito + Dyer as a corporate associate focusing on mergers and acquisitions and contract compliance. In late 2018, Russell accepted his current position at the City of Dayton and has continued to maintain his relationship with the University of Dayton School of Law via the mentor program. Russell served as a mentor for the bar passage program prior to starting as an adjunct professor.

Russell enjoys giving back to the Dayton community in his free time and currently serves as the Vice President of the Gem City Kitties non-profit organization Board.
