Profile

Deztany serves as an Associate Attorney for Pickrel, Schaeffer & Ebeling, a full-service law firm located in downtown Dayton, Ohio. She is a member of both the Litigation and Business Departments.

Graduating from Miami University of Ohio with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy in 2015, Deztany subsequently immersed herself in the legal field. Her experiences include working at a creditor’s rights firm and contributing to a human trafficking prevention non-profit in Atlanta. Continuing her education journey at the University of Dayton School of Law, she earned her J.D. in 2022. During her time at UDSL, Deztany was the President of the Black Law Student Association, Chief Justice of Moot Court, a Dean’s Fellow, and a TA for Legal Pro I, II, and Appellate Advocacy.

Following her graduation, Deztany worked for Freund, Freeze & Arnold as an associate, specializing in insurance defense and medical malpractice. In late 2023, Deztany accepted her current position at PS&E. Deztany is excited to return to her alma mater and maintain her ties to the Dayton community and its students.
