School of Law: Rebecca Caballero

Rebecca Caballero is the Director of the Northeast Florida Medical Legal Partnership. As the NFMLP Director, Ms. Caballero collaborates with the referring medical partners to identify and address legal problems that contribute to poor health outcomes. Ms. Caballero assists the pediatric patients and their families with a variety of civil legal matters in an attempt to improve health issues that are influenced by social determinants of health. Ms. Caballero also regularly provides or coordinates education and training to medical residents, social workers, and other professionals within the partnership.

Before becoming the NFMLP Director, Ms. Caballero worked for many years in private practice and as a consultant to immigration law firms. Ms. Caballero has also been an adjunct professor in a variety of doctrinal and experiential law classes as well as a certified mediator in family law.
