Profile

Before coming to UD, Ben served in various logistics roles in the United States Airforce from 2011-2017 and spent time living in Germany, Qatar, and South Korea. After separating from the Air Force, Ben attended Northern Arizona University. While in school, he had two transformative international experiences, including a five-week intensive study abroad in Greece studying the European Refugee Crisis, and a four-month internship in Kenya, where he primarily worked with youth and on wildlife conservation issues. While attending American University for graduate school, Ben continued his logistics work for various refugee resettlement NGOs in the Washington, D.C. metro area.

Ben is a Dayton native and is ecstatic about the impact his work will have on UD students as they traverse the world and learn more about becoming global citizens. He grew up listening to NPR on WYSO, which initially sparked his curiosity for International Affairs and travel. Ben enjoys hiking, reading, exercising, and keeping up with current events in his spare time.
