Why UD

I chose UD D.P.T. because the moment that I stepped onto campus, I felt as if I belonged. The faculty and current DPT students were very welcoming and willing to answer any of my questions about the program. The opportunities to become involved in research, that was presented by the program, drew my attention, as research is an effective way to improve the care provided to patients. Additionally, the opportunities to participate in a pro bono clinic caught my attention. The pro bono clinic allows for underinsured and underserved Dayton community members to receive rehabilitation services. In relation, as a physical therapy student, these opportunities will allow my skills and techniques to develop and strengthen. I have worked in an outpatient physical therapy clinic for the past two years. While working there, many of the therapists have spoken highly of how UD continually exceeds expectations by graduating knowledgeable and compassionate physical therapists. Since I was a little, I have always had a passion to help those around me, and I truly believe that the opportunities presented by the UD DPT program will allow for me to accomplish this dream!
