Profile

Donald Wynn is Associate Professor and Sherman-Standard Register Chair in Management Information Systems (MIS) at the University of Dayton. Dr. Wynn brings a multidisciplinary background to his teaching and research, holding a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Georgia, an MBA from Middle Tennessee State University, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Dr. Wynn’s research spans commercial open source software, electronic health records software, technological ecosystems, and information systems research methodologies. His scholarship advances understanding of how emerging technologies and software innovations impact organizations, industries, and the broader technological landscape.

As a recognized leader in the MIS field, Dr. Wynn is dedicated to preparing students for the complexities of modern information systems through rigorous coursework, engaged mentorship, and a commitment to practical, real-world application.
