Zeya Wang

Zeya is an Assistant Professor in the Department of MIS, OSC, and Business Analytics at the University of Dayton. His research focuses on entrepreneurial and start-up operations. He holds a Ph.D. in Operations Management and an M.S. in Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology, an M.A. in Economics from Duke University, and a B.A. in Economics from Nanjing University, China.

• AI Fellow, Fall 2025 Cohort - BAN 210 (Statistics for Business Analytics I) builds an "AI-Ready Mindset" by balancing independent analytical competence with AI-augmented professional skills. An AI teaching assistant is provided 24/7 to support for course logistics and questions. The course also leverages "vibe coding" to build interactive visualizations for complex concepts and replaces some traditional assessments with AI-responsive, hands-on data projects using Excel and Power BI.
• OPS 480 (Supply Chain Management) newly incorporates modules on how generative AI impacts modern supply chain management. Students analyze AI-driven logistics, forecasting, and inventory optimization using contemporary Harvard Business Publishing cases, preparing them to strategically leverage AI tools in complex business environments.
