Profile

Lakshmi Nittala is Associate Professor in Management Information Systems, Operations, Supply Chain Management, and Business Analytics (MOA) at the University of Dayton. Dr. Nittala brings a multidisciplinary and global perspective to her teaching and research, holding a Ph.D. in Innovation, Technology, and Operations from the University of California San Diego, a Ph.D. in Materials Science & Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a B. Tech. in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology.

With expertise spanning technology management, operations, and advanced engineering, Dr. Nittala is dedicated to preparing students for leadership roles in the increasingly interconnected fields of analytics, supply chain, and information systems. Her commitment to rigorous academic standards and practical problem-solving reflects UD’s Marianist values of excellence, community, and innovation.
