Profile

Dr. Kathrin J. Hanek (Ph.D., University of Michigan) is an Associate Professor of Management at the University of Dayton. Her research interests focus on diversity in organizations, with an emphasis on the effects of gender and culture on identity and judgment and decision-making. Her work has been published in business, psychology, and entrepreneurship outlets, such as Journal of Applied Psychology, Social and Personality Psychology Compass, Journal of Behavioral Decision Making, International Small Business Journal and International Journal of Intercultural Relations, among others. Dr. Hanek’s research has also been featured in news outlets including The Wall Street Journal, Fast Company, Psychology Today and BoardIQ (a Financial Times publication), among others.

Dr. Hanek serves as an editorial review board member for Social and Personality Psychology Compass, Frontiers in Psychology, and the Journal of Global Mobility. In the past, Dr. Hanek has held a Gender Equity Research Fellowship at the University of Dayton.
