Profile

Edwin Zen is a finance professor at the University of Dayton, teaching both graduate and undergraduate courses in the School of Business Administration. Dr. Zen holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Ph.D. in Finance from Indiana University, demonstrating a unique interdisciplinary approach to financial scholarship.

Since joining UD’s faculty, Dr. Zen has focused his research on the value-added of ESG-oriented financial intermediaries, specifically by examining the screening and monitoring activities of Green Mutual Funds on their Green Investments. His work aims to enhance understanding of how sustainable finance practices impact the effectiveness and societal contribution of financial institutions.
