Beth Miller is the Director and Lecturer of the Herr Venture for Change program in the School of Business Administration. An award-winning author, entrepreneur, and advocate for social innovation, she brings over 30 years of experience in strategic communications, nonprofit leadership, and community development. A proud UD alumna, Beth’s interdisciplinary expertise spans marketing, communications, public/private/nonprofit administration, instructional design, and AI integration.
Her teaching and leadership style are grounded in purpose-driven innovation and real-world application. She emphasizes social entrepreneurship, legacy-focused strategy, and inclusive community impact through entrepreneurship and cross-sector collaboration.
Beth is also the founder of Wagtown®, a nationally recognized nonprofit focused on dog-friendly economic and community planning. Her work has earned national and international recognition, including the 2023 AKC Family Dog Book of the Year and speaking invitations across the U.S. and abroad. She is also the creator of the Dog Friendly Summit®, an industry-wide initiative that explores the intersection of regional vibrancy, social good, and market development.
