Profile
Dr. Curtis Farnsel is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Accounting. Curtis has a Sustainability Scholar classification with the Hanley Sustainability Institute. His research primarily examines the accounting and valuation implications of corporate social responsibility. His work has been published in Oil, Gas, and Energy Quarterly and has been presented at numerous national and regional conferences hosted by the American Accounting Association (AAA). Curtis actively volunteers with AAA conferences and has been recognized by the Financial Accounting and Reporting Section with the Excellence in Reviewing Award. Curtis has teaching experience in both financial accounting and managerial accounting and his teaching efforts have been recognized with multiple teaching awards. Curtis currently serves as a faculty advisor for the University of Dayton chapter of Beta Alpha Psi. Prior to joining academia, Curtis was a Senior in the Assurance practice of Ernst & Young. Curtis maintains active CPA and CMA certifications.
