Naomi Guth

Naomi Guth studied cello performance at Cincinnati Conservatory of Music under Ilya Finkelshteyn, earning her B.M. in 2018, a M.M. in 2020, and her D.M.A in May 2025 with a minor in conducting. 

Naomi has gained experience both in chamber and orchestral settings while completing her degrees. She studied with the members of the Julliard String Quartet, Calidore String Quartet and the Ariel String Quartet. Naomi was the cellist in The Belle Piano Trio in 2016-2018; Cincinnatus String Quartet in 2021-22; Genese String Quartet in 2023-2024; and Ember String Quartet in 2024-2025. Currently, she is the core cellist of The Floral String Quartet. While working in The Cincinnatus Quartet, the group won top prize for quartet in the 2021 International Clara Schumann Competition. 

She currently performs with West Virginia Symphony, Cincinnati Ballet, Richmond Symphony (Indiana) and Blue Ash Symphony Orchestra. She is a cello substitute for Nashville Symphony, Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, Erie Philharmonic and Charleston Symphony Orchestra. Naomi is also active in contemporary chamber ensembles throughout Cincinnati ,including Synapse Ensemble, Link, StringSource and the Listeso quartet. 

Outside of music she enjoys Karate, cooking, the beach, video games, walking in the woods, poetry and playing with her cat.
