Profile

Dr. Mason Bradbury is Assistant Professor of Sustainability at the Hanley Sustainability Institute.

Prior to beginning at the University of Dayton, he earned his Ph.D. from Florida International University, where he researched the social context of urban ecological restoration projects. Mason also spent several years working in environmental conservation and sustainable agriculture, including stints with AmeriCorps VISTA and the U.S. Peace Corps in Paraguay.

Mason's work explores the ways that history, ecology and social context affect efficacy and equity in our efforts to achieve sustainability. His research and work has taken him to locations across North and South America, but Mason was born and raised in rural Scioto County, two hours southeast from Dayton.
