Profile

Dr. Sun received her B.S. degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology at the University of California at San Diego in 2002 and her Ph.D. degree in Microbiology at the University of California at Berkeley in 2008. She then conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Michigan Medical School with the support of Molecular Mechanisms of Microbial Pathogenesis Postdoctoral Fellowship from NIH and National Institute of Food and Agriculture Postdoctoral Fellowship. Dr. Sun joined the Department of Biology at University of Dayton in August 2014 as an Assistant Professor of Microbiology.
