Profile

CPT Will Randerson commissioned into the U.S. Army as a Transportation Officer in 2017 upon graduating from the University of Dayton. Following completion of the Transportation Basic Officer Leader Course (TBOLC), CPT Randerson served in the 82nd Airborne Division, 1st Brigade Combat Team, as the Maintenance Platoon Leader for 3rd Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment.

He later transitioned to the Brigade Support Battalion, where he held key leadership positions including Executive Officer, Support Operations Transportation Officer and Support Operations Supply Officer. During his tenure with the 82nd Airborne Division, CPT Randerson participated in multiple Immediate Response Force activations, including an operational deployment to Camp Buehring, Kuwait, in January 2020.

In May 2022, CPT Randerson transitioned from Active Duty to the U.S. Army Reserve, joining the 104th Training Division under the 4-413th Senior ROTC Battalion. He currently supports the University of Dayton as his primary Army Reserve assignment.

CPT Randerson’s awards and decorations include: Parachutist Badge; Parachute Rigger Badge; Lean Six Sigma Black Belt additional skill identifier; the Army Commendation Medal with 5 Oak Leaf Clusters; Army Achievement Medal 2nd Award; Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal; Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; National Defense Service Medal; Army Service Ribbon; and German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge (Silver).
