Improving Sensors, Electronics, Electro-optics and Energy Systems

The Center of Excellence for Thin-Film Research and Surface Engineering (CETRASE) focuses on improvements of sensors, electronics, electro-optics and energy systems. Researchers work with comprehensive thin-film fabrication equipment, characterization equipment and multi-patented technologies.

CETRASE members represent a wide range of UD academic areas, including electrical and computer engineering, materials engineering, biology, physics, and electro-optics, as well as the University of Dayton Research Institute. Two members are fellows of SPIE, the International Society for Optics and Photonics.
