Welcome Weekend 2026

All incoming students are expected to attend Welcome Weekend programming, which includes the following:
  • Check-in for Welcome Weekend
  • Residential Floor Meeting or Commuter Student Social
  • New Student Convocation
  • Small team time meetings led by an Orientation and Welcome Team Leader (upper-division student)
  • Keynote Speaker
  • Academic programming and open advising hours
  • Social Events
All Transfer Students are Invited to Attend Welcome Weekend Programs on Saturday and Sunday
  • Transfer students can pick up their nametag and schedule on Saturday, Aug. 22, in Gosiger Hall, room 131, from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

Welcome Weekend Reminders

All students must check-in for Welcome Weekend. At that time, you will pick up the full detailed schedule for the rest of the weekend. Residential students will check-in for Welcome Weekend at your assigned residence hall upon arrival. Commuter students will check-in between 5-6 pm in Kennedy Union on Friday, August 21. Students unable to check-in on Friday must report to the Office of Student Transitions and Family Programs, 131 Gosiger Hall during office hours on Saturday, August 22 from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.

Please be sure to wear your nametag the entire weekend.

Welcome Weekend staff will be taking attendance throughout the program. Should you need or miss a session (due to illness, family emergency, etc.) please contact stfp@udayton.edu for assistance.

Team Times are led by an Orientation and Welcome Leader (OWL); see your OWL or nametag for your specific team meeting locations.
