Welcome Weekend 2026

All incoming students are expected to attend Welcome Weekend programming, which includes the following: 
  • Check-in for Welcome Weekend 
  • Residential Floor Meeting or Commuter Student Meeting
  • New Student Convocation 
  • Small team time meetings led by an Orientation & Welcome Team Leader (upper-division student)
  • Keynote Speaker
  • Academic programming and open advising hours
  • Social Events

Welcome Weekend Reminders

All students must check-in for Welcome Weekend! Residential students will check-in for Welcome Weekend at your assigned residence hall upon arrival. Commuter students will check-in during the Commuter Student Social on Friday, August 21. Students unable to check-in on Friday must report to the Office of Student Transitions and Family Programs, 131 Gosiger Hall during office hours.

Be sure to wear your nametag the entire weekend.

Welcome Weekend staff will be taking attendance throughout the program. Should you need or miss a session (due to illness, family emergency, etc.) please contact stfp@udayton.edu for assistance.

Team Times are led by an Orientation and Welcome Leader; see your Team Leader or program signage for your specific team meeting location.
