Fellow
Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Professor Kim Bigelow was awarded the status of Fellow in the American Society of Biomechanics (ASB). She will be recognized at the annual ASB conference in August.

Entrepreneur Ready to Mass-Produce Eye Movement Recording System Thanks to Engineering Senior Design
Teams
Ron Waldorf joined forces with an officer with the Los Angeles Police Department to create the DAX Evidence Recorder, which records eye movements of an impaired driver. Looking to reduce costs and prepare the DAX product for mass production, Waldorf connected with the Innovation Center in the School of Engineering to become a sponsor of a senior design project.

Mechanical Engineering Student 2024 John E. Riley Award
Recipient
UD's Division of Student Development has selected Liesl Carter, a mechanical engineering major from Centerville, Ohio, as the recipient of the John E. Riley Award. This award recognizes a junior student who has exercised sustained leadership through involvement with student initiatives, exemplifying the educational and service values of the University and Marianists.

When Dr. Sidaard (Sid) Gunasekaran ’12 ’16 won the prestigious KEEN Rising Star Award, the organization awarded him a sleek electric guitar, worthy of a rock star. He is a rock star among students and faculty in the School of Engineering and in the aerospace engineering world.
