As a law student, he published a legal reform note on excessive force that was cited by the National Urban League on an issue before the U.S. Supreme Court. He also serves as a mentor through the Alumni Mentoring Program.
Brightfield is a project engineer on a $636 million wastewater treatment project. She is a former AmeriCorps project manager for home repair in Appalachian areas, and she traveled to all 50 states in a big, yellow van after graduation.
