In design, space is the element that creates dynamic dimension and serves as the background of creativity to come. UD’s new Roger Glass Center for the Arts provides space — nearly double the art gallery space students had before — plus a concert hall, experimental theater and Flyer Media production studios, all to showcase campus and community talent.
The gallery served as a launching pad for the 51,200-square-foot building’s soft opening in February. The inaugural exhibition Get Together featured works from 90 artists, including Dayton luminary Willis “Bing” Davis. Look for coverage of the April 13 opening gala celebration in the summer issue.
