The young beeches

Nature refreshes my soul and enchants my heart. this image was created in response to the charming delicacy of the papery ivory-colored leaves that young beeches retain through the winter. A fleeting encounter with beauty can hit me like a spiritual revelation, and it often awakens in me a desire to create something beautiful in turn to amplify that experience and share it with others. To create this lithograph, I drew directly on stone. From this drawing 10 prints were inked and pulled. My love of printmaking was kindled at UD under the tutelage of Brother A. Joseph Barrish, S.M.
