A magical night with my buddy

Christmas on Campus is one of UD's staple events of the year. This year, as a junior, it was my first time being involved on the festivities and joy of Christmas on Campus.

My buddy and I had a blast! The excitement on her face when she first got off the bus with with her fellow students from Dayton Public Schools brought so much joy to my experience. Just to see their faces light up was amazing. To kick off the night my buddy told me about all the things she loves, including art, math and writing.

For our first festivity we made ice cream and slime in the Science Center, then went out to enjoy some hot chocolate. She told me she was very interested in taking pictures, so I allowed her to take a few photos with my camera. She loved it! She has a natural talent for photography and I believe that it was the highlight of her night, seeing the joy on her face being able to click the shutter.

This was an beautiful experience that I will treasure for a long time and I hope it was the same for my buddy. Christmas on Campus can truly have an impact on a child's life. I cannot wait until next year.
