We always find time to get together
Besides coming together for Mass, basketball games and classes, the most visible location for seeing Flyers in groups is in Central Mall. It’s our town square — a place to see and be seen. Canopies and tables are often being assembled by students affiliated with service clubs who are attempting to raise funds or awareness for issues of the day. Blue and white pinwheels were recently displayed and blue wristbands were handed out to bring awareness that April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. MEC also celebrated Asian and Pacific American Heritage Month with a buffet lunch in Alumni Hall. Members of the campus community attended the popular event and enjoyed traditional dishes such as vegetable samosas, savory, triangular-shaped pastries fried and stuffed with spiced vegetables or meats.
